A wonderful route (a number of different roads) that provides a superb motorcycling experience and some spectacular scenery. Lots of sweeping bends and a good few straights thrown in (useful to allow you to look at the stunning views). A great surface but watch out for the tourists and try and find a day when it’s dry!

Ive done this route many times in my scottish travels, the section between Invergarry and THE Kyle of Localsh is probably my favourite route in 80000 miles of riding over the last 10 years. The west coast of scotland and in particular the highlands cannot be beaten

I've done all the roads mentioned on several occasions but never in one go as per the above. All very good biking roads but the A85 from Skye to the A82 is probably my favourite section of road in the UK. It has everything.

have done many bits of this ride, it is several roads linking together and as Nobby's breathless enthusiasm conveys, it is quite stunning up here - go and ride!

start in oban and follow a85 to connel, cross bridge and pick up a828to south ballachulish, some nice corners and a couple of fast straights to get warmth into your tyres, pick up the a 82 to fort william, some nice views and mostly fast roads ( watch out for the tourist coaches and confused germans)from fort william follow a 82 upto spean bridge and past loch lochy, pick up the a87 near invergarry, soon after entering this road there is a never ending right hand bend ,it opens up the whole way around and is a starter for what must be one of the most fantastic roads in the uk (sorry scotland)it twists and turns its way high up into the hills before carving its way down into the valley with stunning views around every corner, the road surface can be s bit hit and miss but there is quite a lot of shell grip, it is quite bumpy but is just fantastic, the road are very well signed up, they dont waste markings up there so if you see slow on the road then knock it off a bit, there are some fantastic viewpoints if you want to take a look and ther are sufficent petrol stops on this route, the road heads towards kyle of lochalsh and the bridge to skye, which is now toll free, once on skye the roads soon open out and you can build up speed, it is quite bleak but the roads are ace, needing full concentration, is very bumpy on the entry to portree, which a few nice shop and a lovley coffee shop just off the square, time for the trip with a couple of stop was 3 1/2 hours and it is about 150 miles in old money,if you get the chance ride it my words just dont do it justice.
