This route is great when you can manage to hit it out of the commuter rush hours otherwise it can be a bit of a slog, with too many cars trying chancy overtakes, if the overall speed of traffic is slow.
If you do get the timing right you wont have time to look at the scenery.
Theres a safety camera van that sometimes sits at the end of the Dunholme strait.

Going on to Willingham Woods is O.K., but just for a change turn left towards Caenby Corner, some good curves on this road which make it worth the detour to Caenby Corner round-about before heading back for a cup of tea at Willingham Woods. But don't go mad, there is at least one Gatso, often more, and the odd police car or bunch of coppers on bikes (don't try and keep up).

This is indeed a good run. Once reaching Market Rasen, continue along the A46 to Caistor. Even more twisties but be careful of blind exits and the road narrowing in sections.

June 12, 2005 -

This is a nice run from Lincoln up to Market Rasen. Take it easy as you come off the A46 roundabout. Once you hit the first long straight you can open it up. Watch out for the staggered junction that everyone uses as a crossroads. After the next straight you get into the twisty sections which are great. It's a very rural road so keep an eye out for mud and tractors, but it's normally not a problem. Once you get to Faldingworth the scenery opens out and you get the only 90 degree bends on the route. At the end of the road turn right and follow the signs to Market Rasen. Pass straight through and head to Willingham Woods where there is always another biker to be seen. The A46 isn't on Lincolnshire's Red Route list, but there are usually accidents so be careful.
