Fantastic route, I´m very glad I came across it - definitely one I´ll be doing more than once! \r\n\r\nI did it on a Sunday and also stopped off at The Playden Oasts Inn (TN31 7UL) for a fantastic roast towards the end of the route!
Keep your wits about you when going along 7 mile lane, its a route a lot of lorries use
We ran the route early this morning and we would definitely do it again. We didn't meet the normal hordes on route to Rye; extremely light traffic. The only issue was several of the corners on the B2163 contained large deposits of gravel in the centre and edges of the road.
Truly a fun route. This is what Brit-bikes are made for! Lots of cozy towns to pass through. Lots of narrow country lanes to zoom along. There was a minor diversion the day I did this, but that doesnt matter as there are lots of fun in the area. Also there was a sportscar-club out that Sunday morning. All six of them drove like posessed, passing all other traffic (with me trailing along for the fun). Highly recommended.

Nice, shaded country lane. So shaded, in fact, that the photo is a bit blurry.
