The road from Delegate to Orbost has to be about the most fun you can have with your pants on. Apart from a short section (~10Km of pretty rough dirt just north of Goongerah) the road is great, nice sight lines through corner after corner. Little traffic apart from a few logging trucks that even pulled over when they could to give me a clear run. No need to break the speed limit (much) - at 80-100Kmh this road is brilliant fun.
An alternative route home is via Alexandra and ride the famous Black Spur to Healesville.
This route takes in some of the best roads in Aus. The Victorian Alps, The Snowy Mountains. It does the Mansfield - Whitfield road twice because it is just such great ride. The lonely Bonang Highway has 130 kl of twisties through remote forest. It includes 20 klms of dirt but well worth the effort. Then there is the Great Alpine rd.! And the Alpine Way. Be carful of the weather up high. Winter is not recommended. The Jinjellic pub is a good stopover. Give yourself at least 5 days.
