I´ve been on this route a few times over the last few years and I can say that this a very demanding route from Beziers through to La Salvetat and beyond. Be aware that there are a few switchbacks and they will catch you out if you are going for it. My advice is to check the route out first at a moderate three digit speed where you can and then go for it.
This is the route that the manufacturers often use here in France for testing their latest machinery. Out of season its quite possible to see some of the Jap manufacturers teams out with their latest to be offerings. The road starts in St Chinian in the Herault (N112)and then goes through to St Pons. At St Pons ride through the town (stop off for petrol and a cool drink if necessary) and then turn right on the D907. This is where the fun really starts. At first youll think so whats so great about this road? Just wait until you are about a mile clear of the town and all will be revealed. Keep your concentration or youll pay the price!! Ride safe and enjoy....Martin
