A southern loop from Murau to Stadl an der Mur which can be used as part of a much longer route when travelling The Sölk Pass or heading across to Nockalmstrasse for example. The roads are a mixture of sweeping curves and long fairly straight sections passing through a few villages along the way. Basically valley roads passing around the smaller mountains at the eastern end of the Alps. Being the valleys you can expect farm traffic at times but generally the roads are fairly quiet. At the time writing the road surface varies considerably from very good to poor. So poor in places that I would expect remedial work to be taking place any time soon. You should also be aware that some sections have some serious undulations which when rounding curves at speed can test your suspension somewhat. Beautiful scenery adds to the experience. * Stay on the L62 a bit further rather than turn off on the L63 and you can find an interesting route on small mountain roads that will take you across to teh southern end of Nockalmstrasse. I have attached a video of the route which is cut short a little due to Bug Splatter on the camera lens.
