Heading from Clifton through the scenic routes of the Lake District avoiding most of the main tourist routes, through quaint towns and picturesque villages, crossing Lake Windermere then a short blast to and up the best stretch of the A6, off towards the Pennines and back towards Penrith. Beware of the sheep, and horse back riders!
