The road down from mount hotham to omeo is one of the best roads in australia.Fast open sweeping bends. The road is in good shape at the moment (09/04/2015).

this is a great road in generally good nick, it starts through farm land but soon starts to climb up to mount hotham, then across the high plains to the old gold town of omeo,at omeo you can keep going south to the town of bairnsdale on the coast or you can turn north up the omeo highway which has a bit of dirt in its length to the town of tallangatta on the murray river
