Nice to see the small villages but not one of the best biking roads we’ve been on. We can recommend the lovely new cafe in Accinnes if you are passing through.
Sorry should have put five stars just for putting this on the site! Will review in August.
Thank you very much for this. Just adding it to our route back to the Caen ferry.
I had the best ride of my life when I did this travelling up from Tours to Alençon for lunch. When out in the sticks I must have only come across a half-dozen cars over the course of 2.5 hours. There is a mixture of well maintained roads and some scuffed up, smaller roads. You travel through farmland and woodland, and see plenty of beautiful french villages. Overtaking is easy at most points, if you get caught behind something. Tours and Alençon are both very nice towns, great places to stop over or just to get something to eat.
