Got a rental motorcycle from Barcelona for a day? Take this route which is a compilation of many of the best and most famous motorcycle roads in this area. Try to ride as many of the best of the Pyrenean Passes as you can!

As what one person wants from a days riding can be dramatically different from another. This route can be easily shortened by simply turning off onto a highway south towards Barcelona at any of the crossover points south.

This is a route of incredible endless curves, dramatic sea and mountain views and this area in general is a strong personal favourite of mine.

This route starts near Lloret de Mar, then heads north on the famous Gi682 to Sant Feliu de Guíxols before continuing up to the beautiful Cadaqués and up along the a section of the French Mediterreanean before turning inland at Argelès-sur-Mer.

We then head west towards Les Gorges de la Fou before crossing over back across the border into Spain and down to Ripoll to join the N260.
The N260 is undoubtedly one of the best motorcycling roads anywhere in Europe. It offers such a diversity of elevations, so many fast open corners and sharp switchbacks that it is hard not to enjoy this special road. It takes in the amazing la Collada de la Toses, then heads up to Queixans before heading toward La Seu d'Urgell. The section between Adrall and Sort is simply sublime.

We then continue to follow the N260 to El Pont de Suert and take the sweeping scenic open and faster N230 south by the water.

At Puente de Montañana we start our way back East across more fantastic mountain passes including Coll de Nargo and across in spectacularly twisty fashion to Berga and back to Ripoll.

As there is so much natural beauty and spectacular riding on this route, my advice would be takes stops as you feel you need and enjoy part of it rather rushing to complete all of it if that does not suit.

Suggestion 1) If you enjoy the sea views and the coast more than inland mountains, take the route from the start at Lloret de Mar up to Argelès-sur-Mer (France) then simply reverse the route back and maybe stop near the beautiful Cadaqués for some food.

Suggestion 2) If you would like to see the coast and mountains but prefer fewer hours of curves. Simply take the route as far as Sort then head south to the faster road back to Barcelona at Tàrrega

Suggestion 3) The whole route is more for someone who wants to spend the whole day riding with a few short stops between quite long rides.

Enjoy whatever you choose Jarob!
All the Best,
David
