A fantastic scenic route with a mixture of tight twisties and swooping bends. Lovely places to stop, such as Beddgelert and Porthmadog or simply ride the whole way through as it is breathtaking. Particularly scenic section at Llyn Gwynant where there are plenty of bays to photograph the lake and campsite below you. Tarnac is very good in some areas (mainly Betws to Beddgelert where it is freshly laid) but further on to Porthmadog is very bumpy with overhanging trees and drystone walls. Scenery and twisties make up for the poor road surface in this small section however. If you time it right and get no traffic then you are in for a treat, however there are plenty of overtaking oppurtunities on the more swooping sections. Highly recommended
