Local to me, and a favourite, at busy times it can be difficult to get past traffic, but always good early on Saturday or Sunday mornings, or evenings. Treat it with respect though, there have been a few spills on this stretch.
On a quite day with little traffic this is a great little stretch of road and well worth a look, I ride this road regularly and the first major corner on the beddingham side can flood a little on wet days and about halfway down there's a council dump so watch out for lorries pulling out and they always leave a big trail of mud behind.
This little stretch is well worth getting to know. There are some lovely sweeping corners and a series in particular that occurs at a dip and rise, which gives that 'switchback' sensation! WORD OF WARNING though...i have come across diesel on the north end roundabout A27 junction (prob due to lorries coming off the NEWHAVEN ferries grrr!)
My first ride out in England (..after thousands in Italy and France). According to me this road is too fast to have fun.I want tight corners.Where are they?Anyway, nice to go to the coast
Quick blast down from the A27 to Newhaven. Only takes 10 minutes each way but well worth a detour.
