This route is 259, not 289. I wish I could write more positive things about this road, but the surface just wounds it. The twisties and sweepers of the road south of Bolivar are great and all, but you have to adjust your line to make up for the potholes and/or patchwork, throw in a bit of mud tracks and you have a pretty challenging road. North of Bolivar is much more clean, flat smooth and open with sweepers, but the twisties are gone. If only they'd pave the road south of Bolivar...
Fun run. Good scenery. Lots of twists and turns. Also kits of gravel in some spots
Some fun curves through the woods. Be careful... some of the roadway on a couple of curves was blown out. But most it has good road surface.
