Lots of gravel
Ruta corta con mucha curva para hacer solo o comparado en media hora.
Two of the most scenic and highest passes in North America.
225 from Spanish Fort to the Alabama River Bridge on Highway 84. Beautiful ride with lots of bends and curves and straight aways. Very little traffic. Lots of deer and maybe a logging truck.
Charlotte Hall and Mechanicsville Amish country
Scenic road for autumn rides...
Home to the Dahlonega Square
Long general sweepers to a wonderful diner
Country-side, good roads, not much traffic
Popular run with local riders often combined with the 357 and the 224 to create a return loops. Heading East the route offers great coastal scenery, good pavement, decent speed limits and interesting places to stop. A hidden gem of a restaurant Il Porto would be my recommendation for lunch but Henleys Pub is also popular in Sheet Harbour.
Loop around Rose City
Loop around the Northwest Lower Peninsula.
Great day ride
Beautiful sweeping Croom Road run to scenic Amish country. One sweeping curves with a beautiful vistas
A 30 mile ride through the largest Amish community in Maryland
Sunday Fun Day
Open country side, not much traffic, riding along Alabama's Mobile Bay coast.
Gonna ride this tomorrow I'll update after
Horse Country and Bullett Bourbon
This route is incredibly varied terrain in a short distance. Red Valley is red rock desert to start, then suddenly the road goes from 70mph straights down to 25mph sharp corners climbing up the mountain (buffalo pass), very scenic mountain road with a few views at the top. Continuing west you drop down the back side of the pass, and right into a Arizona red rock canyon. Fantastic rocks and walls, amazing. If you're in the Four Corners area, I highly recommend this stretch of road. Road surface was very good, no gravel but obviously keep your eyes peeled if it's been raining.
Check weather before going, I rode in September and assume it would be snowed in or closed in the winter.
Beautiful stretch of mountain highway, up over 10k' elevation, so maybe only for spring, summer, early fall? The highway passes through many mountain valleys and by beautiful meadows. it's very scenic through here, my favorite part of US64.
