Great Northern Run. Blazing Bikers.
A good alternative when you don't want to use the Motorway. First stretch from Gort is the nicest, nice views and the odd interesting stretch. The second half is gentle roads, nice scenery, with the odd Irish curve coming out of nowhere.
If heading East towards Dublin, get onto the Motorway just North of Tullsmore. Takes about 50mins more than M'way from Gort to Dublin!
Very scenic route along the rivers Nore, Barrow and Suir, with places to stop off for refreshments and photos.
Spectacular ride with all the gubbins. Brilliant views on the climb with a classic hairpin and other great bends. Just watch out for the moss on the road on the descent to Lismore as the road is covered by trees. Definitely a must do!
Nice spin with a lovely beach at the end
Great way to spend an hour or two :)
Country roads, surface not great.
Some coastal roads along the Wild Atlantic Way and over a mountain pass
Waterford to Loughrea taking in The Vee on the Knockmealdown mountains , The Glen of Aherlow and Galty mountains.
Ride along the Shannon estuary with a 20 min ferry trip on the homeward leg.
Mostly coastal. Nice twisties. Reasonable surface.
Ride out with the club
Just a ramble
Saturday spin
The coastal route home
Just a ride home from work
Weather was bad and visibility poor on the outward leg.Would have been much more enjoyable on a fine day
Well, actually started this ride in Dublin but beside a short stop at the Crag Cave (cool). Nothing worth mentioning until I decided to keep going southwest along coast. The road is 100% twisties and dramatic coastline scenery. Cliffs, crashing waves, and awesome sunset. Stent the night at the very nice hostel. Met some wonderful bikers who showed me around . Finished ride this morning to sun crashing waves and dry road
This route has everything from long straights to sweeping bends... Road surface mainly good... Few spots to watch out for but mostly safe... Enjoy :-)
Very scenic route. Some sections fast, others slow but beautiful scenery and some nice twisty bits.
