This is a common route because of it's isolation and sweeping curves that follow the Mississippi River. We call it the Insectarium because unless you are riding at noon, you will collide with plenty of insects from the neighboring pastures and those off the river itself. My brother road with my in the evening once with a skull cap and his face was covered with the wings of tiny bugs. No bodies, just the wings. Though rarely seen, Iberville Parish Sheriffs are power-drunk, insulting, red-neck, inbred trash. They are only out when movies are being filmed near the river, but if you should see one do not attract their attention. They are looking for any reason to harass you.
