Probably one of the most challenging/exciting roads you will ever ride! Just been resurfaced, perfect cambers and high levels of grip, little or no dust or grit combine to circuit levels of surface.

I have ridden this several times, both ways, in the past fortnight (Sept 2014) as part of an off-road gathering nearby, riding a 400 trailie. At times a bit more power would be nice for the climbs, but I had enough to lose ALL the hero bumps off the back tyre, which on a trailie is a ridiculous level of lean!! :-)

Perfect for a supermoto style machine, get your lines spot on and you will be rewarded on every bend.....

Thanks go to Dave and Bestbikingroads. Because of you I planned this route into my trip.

Loved it. Great surface, great corners, spectacular scenery in places, no traffic to speak of. Can you say great too many times?

Up there in my top 10 of Spanish roads. Its great!

Sat Nav found this road as quickest route.Went from Tremp to Puenta de Montanana,in my years of biking this is by far the best road i have ever ridden. 17 miles of corners 80% of which you can see both entry and exit.Perfect tarmac on probably a hundred 30 to 50mph bends uphill rises, downhill hairpins perhaps two bends which can catch the unwary out. Saw two vehicles on the whole route.
Went back the next day and did it in both directions, both as good as each other again no traffic and no police.Enjoyed is so much i couldnt be bothered to stop to take any photos.Sorry but i struggle to tell you about the scenery as i was looking where the next bend went. If your in the area dont miss it or you will never forgive yourself. If i could give it a six star rating i would.

I have done it the other way roun, from Puente de Montañana to Tremp... and it is amazing!!!! Well, if you like low speed and twists every 5 meters. Do you want to improve your cornering? Get there. Tarmac in very good condition and not much traffic, basically local. Extremely good, but just follow after Tremp eastwards and you will the best road ever... again 60 km/h extremely twisty road, I found myself there. Both together are a joy impossible to miss. And Andorra is just some 50 kms far, paradise to buy all the gear at a better price than normal.

Can a road have too many corners? At about halfway along this route I found myself asking this. This surely must be one of the twistiest roads in Spain (and probably Europe). The surface is good but in places, the visibility is very bad, especially at dusk, when I rode, the sun was so strong that I could hardly get a move on :-) Additionally there are a lot of blind brows and no road markings to let you know whats coming up. Still enjoyable due to the concentration of corners, but care should be taken
