Head along the B1053 to Wethersfield, where you go straight ahead onto High St and Hudsons Hill rather than turning right towards Braintree. This soon turns into an astonishing twisty with a wide variety of bends which will keep you on your toes until Sible Hedingham. There you turn right at the T junction and follow the road round to turn left onto the A1017. After a quarter of a mile turn right onto the B1058 through Castle Hedingham, after which the road turns into a series of fast straights and tight double bends. At Bulmer Tye join the A131 or, if you liked the route, turn round and run back along it! It is a very technical route which experienced and confident riders will enjoy.
