Nice route. I’ve been around here several times. As an alternative, I go on the east side of the lake from Skien, up to Akkerhaugen, then Gvarv and Bø. My absolutely favourite in the area is from Bø to Notodden or the opposite way. The hills from airport Notodden direction Sommarland in Bø is top!
