This is a good road, nice surface, fast sections. Check out Norfolk Dash Ive added, this road is included on there.
On this route, you can see Norfolk's flint decorated houses at Fakenham, then one of Britain's greatest Norman settlements at Castle Acre (stub castle ruins can also be found there) while riding through pleasant forest surroundings
it's a good road ,especially if you have the time to make it part of a longer route.have done this section then taken the 148 to sherringham, followed the very twisty 149 coast road to kings lynn and home down the a10.that gives a great mix of fast straights and twisties.a good day out with your mates.
Its a good route, but too many straights really, I thought biking was about corners....!!
A nice selection of sweepers through the rather nice Thetford forest, other items of interest include a military airfield. The visibility is not so great in places as it is obscured by trees. Police presence used to be quite low but this route was mentioned in RiDE magazine's best roads recently so that might be about to change.
