This is a great combination of high passes. Iseran is a 'must', and as long as you're there you may as well ride Mont Cenis down to Susa. Mont Cenis is neither as technical nor exposed as Iseran, yet it still has many lovely curves, and many people may prefer it for that. Both roads feature stunning scenery and fun riding.

It can be very cold on top even mid summer, about 3 degrees during my visit. Very spectacular road with awesome views.

One of the greatest roads in the Alps. If you travel to the Alps from whereever you come from, its worth to pass by the Col de lIseran. Dont ride the Alps without that one!

Rode the French side of Mont Cenis in June 2008. Fantastic road with surreal scenery once at the Lac du Mont Cenis. Brilliant cafe next to the lake, dont miss the stuffed Marmot! The Italian side was closed by the dam wall due to road problems (typical Italians?), but still worth doing the loop before turning around and dropping back into Lanslebourg.

I have done only the north part of this pass and it was great. Lots of nice corners and not too many cars. Added some photos too....

Spent the night before riding the pass in the rock village of Bonneval, one can do no better. The south ramp climb begins immediately out of the village and continues to 2769 metres. Ridden once in the dry - cold and cloudy. Good road, a major pass connecting Val d' Isere and Val d' Arc. Road surface is good, traffic minimal, some long sweepers, but mostly tight corners and hairpins at the top. Don't even think about straights, they aren't there. The north ramp takes you through the ski resort of Val d'Isere, a horrible place without the snow, but a great long, twisty road to the valley below. Like a lot of the high French Alps, it feels so remote!

Climbing up to 2770m and winding wonderfully down again, the magnificent Col de L'Iseran was one of the first proper tourist passes in the alps. it's no wonder this is one of the most famous passes in the alps. Some permanent snow at the top and cold up there, even in the height of summer.

An exeptional mountainpass, who takes you up to 2770m alltitude. Spectacular scenery, going to Lanslebourg. Bonneval is a smal village, protected by Unesco, and is worth the stop. In Lanslebourg you can head up to the Col du Mont Cenis, which is worth the wile! Simply, a beautifull and amazing area!

This is one of the highest roads in the Alps and is a must see just for that reason. The road really becomes interesting as it rises to 2200m odd.
