Rode this route for the second time today. I remember it being very appealing to my senses the first time and the second time around was even better. FM 197 from Arthur City is a motorcyclist´s day dream. This road hugs the topology of the land. Lot´s of curves, open straights and lot´s of elevation changes along a narrow roadway with trees creating the tunnel effect. This is some of northeast Texas´s cattle company´s and ranch land´s, lot´s to see and when the wind´s right, smell´s of fresh hay and cattle.
