good road got to be carefull when traveling towards scarborough near falcon pub hidden junction apart from that ok best late evening or early morning

if you could get away from the tourists doing 40mph and stopping to look at every tree this would be another good route suggest trying it weekdays

As said above - this route isn't that great.. I've done it a stack of times and it's quite common for at least one member of the group to get completely stuck behind very slow moving traffic.. there's a lot of no overtaking road markings and not that many overtaking opportunities really.. Decent road when it's quite.. but it never is..

September 27, 2005 -

too many slow cars, minibuse, caravans in the summer, as well as police. Great scenery, but quite tedious unless empty. I suggest early morning, late in the day and best out of the holiday season.

This section seems to have been unfairly missed in your other review (A171 Whitby - Pickering). It's also a pretty nice coastal run and can be nicely combined with the other routes on this site in the same area. Enjoy :-)
