Nice ride out from the Rossendale Valley, best once on the A675. (frequent mobile speed cameras so keep to the village speed limits). Bolton end a bit urbanised, head back to Rossendale through Bradshaw and Ramsbottom

Turn left at the Black Dog pub in Belmont and it takes you up a fantastic single track windy road over the top to Rivington - great views all the way to the Liverpool sea front!

Nice road with some good bends and a good undulating straight. A great pity that there is a 50mph limit on the road, seems pretty recent. Is this a sign of the future from our Nanny State.
